Vegan Chicken Caesar
Whether you put it on a Salad or in a Wrap, this Vegan Chicken Caesar is just as ZIP ZAPPING Delicious as the traditional version!
This Vegan Chicken Caesar recipe might be my new favorite! I know I say that a lot, but I’ve honestly been eating this several times a day for the past week!

I used to love Chicken Caesar, usually in a wrap, but I’d house a salad no problem too. I’ve tried a few store-bought Vegan Caesar dressings and they never hit the notes.

Well, I’m happy to say that this Vegan Caesar Dressing hits all the notes and has an encore as well! And it’s also super easy to throw together!

ingredients for Vegan Chicken Caesar
- Vegan Mayo – We’ll be using this as the base for the dressing. You could try using Unsweetened Vegan Yogurt for something lighter, but I haven’t tested it out.
- Capers – This is gonna replace the Anchovies that you typically find in traditional Caesar, to pack a lot of salty, umami goodness!
- Nutritional Yeast – This will take place of the usual Parmesan, a little goes a long way!
- Worcestershire Sauce – Yes, they make Vegan Worcestershire! If you can’t find it, try subbing with some Steak Sauce, or a teaspoon of Soy Sauce.
- Garlic, Lemon, Dijon Mustard – I prefer fresh garlic, but you can sub with some Garlic Powder if you like. Lemon Juice is best, but vinegar can work too. And a touch of Dijon Mustard is always nice!

- Vegan Chicken – These days I prefer making my Tofu Grilled Chicken or Soy Curl Chicken recipe for something like this. However, feel free to use whatever vegan chicken you like, or something store-bought for a short cut!

- Romaine – Whether you’re making a salad or a wrap, Romaine Lettuce is the traditional and best choice!
- Croutons – Same with croutons, they are needed in a salad and provide a nice crunch in a wrap. Make sure they are vegan (or make your own at home!)
- Vegan Parmesan – I really like the Parmesan by Violife, but use your favorite Vegan Parmesan!

how to make Vegan Chicken Caesar
To make the dressing, simply combine everything in a bowl and season to taste! Make sure you mince the capers too!

Toss some of the dressing with the Romaine, I like to do about 2 tablespoons per 4 cups / 140g of salad.

Then just top it with a Vegan Chicken Cutlet, some Croutons, Vegan Parmesan and anything else you like! Serve as a salad or wrap!

storage
The Caesar Dressing will be good stored in the fridge for about 1 week. Thought it never lasts that long in my house!

Instructions
Vegan Caesar Dressing
-
Mince the garlic and capers, I like to do them relatively small and fine. Then simply combine everything in a bowl. Taste and adjust for seasoning. Store in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
For Serving
-
Use whatever Vegan Chicken you like! I love using my recipe for Grilled Tofu Chicken.
-
After washing and chopping up the Romaine lettuce, toss with some of the Caesar Dressings. For myself, 1 serving is about 4 cups / 140g of chopped lettuce with about 2 – 3 Tbsp of the dressing, but do this to your taste of course!
-
To serve as a salad, simply top the dressed lettuce with the vegan chicken (you can slice it or dice it as you like) and then add as many croutons as you’d like. Top with freshly grated or shaved vegan parmesan.
-
If making a wrap, simply add all of that to a large flour tortilla that’s been warmed and wrap it up!
